Last week’s auctions turned in some great results as three of the six houses for sale in Gisborne sold.YouTube Preview Image.

18 Grundy Street

pricing below $200,000

First house for sale was 18 Grundy Street that failed to get a bid. The owners are looking to price it under $200,000. So it should be an attractive property to move. Comprising 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 garages. It is very private and has excellent outdoor living areas. A great  first home or investment property. Agent is Tracy Bristowe.

177 Fox Street

Sold $330,000

Next up  was 177 Fox Street, a renovated villa in Whataupoko, Gisborne NZ. Over 40 parties viewed the property during the auction campaign with four bidders on the day placing over 30 bids. It sold for a 10%+ premium under the hammer. (watch the video above) Agent Lynn Ward was delighted, so were her clients!

5 Magnolia Street

now asking $345,000

5 Magnolia Street failed to draw a bid and has now got an asking price of $345,000. Agent Neil Walker describes this property as an urban retreat with fantastic river and country outlook. “It’s ideal for empty nesters who love entertaining.” 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 garaging.

121 Russell Street

now asking $175,000

121 Russell Street failed to get a bid but has conditional interest that should be sorted this week. An attractive little unit in a desirable part of town, it now has an asking price of $175,000. Agent Neil Walker believes this is an attractive investment property as it in an “easy to tenant” category. Weekly rent could be $220 per week.

26 Collins Street

sold $207,500

26 Collins Street sold under the hammer for $207,500. There were four bidders chasing this little ex state house in Te Hapara.   “The interest leading up to the auction was strong and that the outcome of cometitive bidding wasn’t a surprise” said agent Tracy Bristowe. Another delighted seller and a happy new owner who will be moving in before Christmas.

Sold above $415,000

Sold above $415,000

29 Moana Rd, Wainui Beach sold within 24 hours of Saturday’s auction. 2 bidders stopped the bidding at $415,000 before it was passed in and negotiated afterwards. Agent Neil Walker says there is good demand for entry level property at the beach. “The way the market is, it is making buying at the beach possible for first home buyers. If we had more entry level properties at the beach, I’m sure we could sell them easily.”
