New RV’s released

The new rating valuations for Gisborne have been released. You can find them online by searching for a particular property at the GDC website. There is also a lot of good support material available about the subject. Interestingly the first thing I did was to go online and find out what my property’s RV was. Then despite being in the industry, I couldn’t but help think that was actually what my property was worth!  That’s because RVs create a mindset, a point of reference, something we want to believe (or not) to be true. But does it really mean that my property is now only worth $x? No it doesn’t. I still have to find a buyer who is willing to pay that and hopefully more!

True market value is what you can exchange your property for, with actual money, not a rating valuation.
