Walker Real Estate started as an  independent real estate company operating in the Gisborne region. It brought a fresh new approach to the market, with a team of experienced sales consultants who delivered a truly elite level of personal service. Specialising in residential sales, the company quickly gained a strong presence in the local market. It held a consistent market share of over 20% during the time it traded.

After 5 years of successful business the company has taken a new direction with the merger of Harveys Gisborne  to form a new company LJ Hooker Gisborne . The new company is now the largest real estate company in the Gisborne region offering a full agency service, covering urban and rural residential, lifestyle and farms, commercial and property management. The team of over 20 members is headed by Principals George Searle and Neil Walker.
